• Program Manager – FMC Technologies; Moog Incorporated, Lord Corporation
(Repair Center Manager from 1997 to 2006; Engineering Manager from 1991 to 1997)
• Achievements: Responsibilities included all system configurations, orders,
forecasting, problem resolution, pricing, expediting, inter-company
communications and structuring of this new position.
• As Repair Center Manager, responsible for all repair center functions including
scheduling, customer liaison, product revisions, structures and routers, repair
quotes, inventory, work orders and employee reviews. Also responsible for full
repair center start-up including layout, benches, tools, shelves, ESD systems, ISO
procedures, equipment and hiring.
• As Engineering Manager, setup and maintained drawing control system including
revisions, process specifications, SPC procedures, audit system, quality manual
rewrite and update, change control and the non-conformance system.
• Marketing support: Designed an interactive cdrom presentation that includes a
virtual shop and product tour. Designed web site. Photography support.

Product line development and sales support for process instrumentation
• Achievements: Development and organization of complete instrument product line
for control of pressure, temperature, speed, flow, level, and weight of research
vessel systems. Includes image statement, designs, specifications, brochures,
pricing structure, forecasts, standard quotation packages, direct customer quoting,
marketing and sales organization, training, and field installation.

• Achievements: Responsible for all aspects of quality within the company. Includes
procedure writing, training, quality surveys and audits. Military experience
includes contracts, specifications, quality, testing, and reports. Manufacturing
experience in PC board assembly, soldering, cleaning, coating, and testing, PCAD
schematic capture and board layout.

Project responsibility for design of Autoclave systems
• Achievements: System design; including power and control panels, signal and
process controllers, programmable logic controllers, and transducers. Developed
software for IBM PC in BASIC, process controllers in FORTH, and PLC’s in
LADDER/BOOLEAN.

6/85 – 11/85 PENN MICROSYSTEMS COMPANY – Girard, Pennsylvania
(No longer in business)
• Senior Engineer
Project responsibility for hardware design of General Electric shovel monitor system
• Achievements: System design of shovel monitor. Designed/developed: EEPROM
Memory-I/O board for Multibus based CMOS 8086, 14 bit Analog Data
Acquisition Module, 12 bit resolver to digital converter board, high reliability
power supply system, and IBM PC interface board. Also organized electronics
lab.

1980 – 1985 AMERICAN STERILIZER COMPANY – Erie, Pennsylvania
• Senior Engineer – Research and Development
Hardware/Software design of microprocessor controls for sterilizers and hospital
equipment
• Achievements: Project responsibility for modular, multiprocessing control system;
EAGLE II. Included system and board design, ISBX based network computer,
data acquisition, digital I/O, multiprocessing serial interface, and a parallel
expansion board. Developed PRINTCON-8048 based sterilizer controller.
Designed voice recognition system. Wrote application software for EAGLE
sterilizers. Presented in-house seminars and courses.

1978 – 1980 TALON DIVISION OF TEXTRON – Meadville, Pennsylvania
• Electrical Engineer – Technical Services
Design, develop, and/or apply microprocessor, digital, analog, and optical controls for
production and inspection machinery
• Achievements: Designed stepper and DC motor controls, 6502 based emulator,
Opto-Electronic Flaw Detection and Position Sensing Designs. Designed controls
for zipper production machine.

1974 – 1978 GEOSOURCE, INC. (SMITH METER) – Erie, Pennsylvania
• Electronic Development Engineer
Design, develop, and/or apply digital and analog controls for service station and flow
control
• Achievements: Designed the HK Prepay/Postpay CASHCON gas console with U.L.
listing; designed two analog and five F8/Z80 I/O boards, CFC21/BCD8,
BCD/TTL, BPS-12, and CG-28 process instruments. Taught maintenance school.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Gold Key Award in Electronics and National Honor Society; Instrument Society of
America: past member: Executive Board – Erie Civic Ballet and Vice President of Erie
Summer Festival of the Arts; music composer (three published CD’s); own sound
production studio; Award winning nature photographer.
