\n(Repair Center Manager from 1997 to 2006; Engineering Manager from 1991 to 1997)
\n\u2022 Achievements: Responsibilities included all system configurations, orders,
\nforecasting, problem resolution, pricing, expediting, inter-company
\ncommunications and structuring of this new position.
\n\u2022 As Repair Center Manager, responsible for all repair center functions including
\nscheduling, customer liaison, product revisions, structures and routers, repair
\nquotes, inventory, work orders and employee reviews. Also responsible for full
\nrepair center start-up including layout, benches, tools, shelves, ESD systems, ISO
\nprocedures, equipment and hiring.
\n\u2022 As Engineering Manager, setup and maintained drawing control system including
\nrevisions, process specifications, SPC procedures, audit system, quality manual
\nrewrite and update, change control and the non-conformance system.
\n\u2022 Marketing support: Designed an interactive cdrom presentation that includes a

\nexperience in PC board assembly, soldering, cleaning, coating, and testing, PCAD

\nProject responsibility for design of Autoclave systems
\n\u2022 Achievements: System design; including power and control panels, signal and
\nprocess controllers, programmable logic controllers, and transducers. Developed
\nsoftware for IBM PC in BASIC, process controllers in FORTH, and PLC’s in
\nLADDER\/BOOLEAN.<\/p>\n

\nProject responsibility for hardware design of General Electric shovel monitor system
\n\u2022 Achievements: System design of shovel monitor. Designed\/developed: EEPROM
\nMemory-I\/O board for Multibus based CMOS 8086, 14 bit Analog Data
\nAcquisition Module, 12 bit resolver to digital converter board, high reliability
\npower supply system, and IBM PC interface board. Also organized electronics
\nlab.<\/p>\n

1980 – 1985 AMERICAN STERILIZER COMPANY – Erie, Pennsylvania<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Senior Engineer – Research and Development
\nHardware\/Software design of microprocessor controls for sterilizers and hospital
\nequipment
\n\u2022 Achievements: Project responsibility for modular, multiprocessing control system;
\nEAGLE II. Included system and board design, ISBX based network computer,
\ndata acquisition, digital I\/O, multiprocessing serial interface, and a parallel
\nexpansion board. Developed PRINTCON-8048 based sterilizer controller.
\nDesigned voice recognition system. Wrote application software for EAGLE
\nsterilizers. Presented in-house seminars and courses.<\/p>\n

1978 – 1980 TALON DIVISION OF TEXTRON – Meadville, Pennsylvania<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Electrical Engineer – Technical Services
\nDesign, develop, and\/or apply microprocessor, digital, analog, and optical controls for
\nproduction and inspection machinery
\n\u2022 Achievements: Designed stepper and DC motor controls, 6502 based emulator,
\nOpto-Electronic Flaw Detection and Position Sensing Designs. Designed controls
\nfor zipper production machine.<\/p>\n

1974 – 1978 GEOSOURCE, INC. (SMITH METER) – Erie, Pennsylvania<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Electronic Development Engineer
\nDesign, develop, and\/or apply digital and analog controls for service station and flow
\ncontrol
\n\u2022 Achievements: Designed the HK Prepay\/Postpay CASHCON gas console with U.L.
\nlisting; designed two analog and five F8\/Z80 I\/O boards, CFC21\/BCD8,
\nBCD\/TTL, BPS-12, and CG-28 process instruments. Taught maintenance school.<\/p>\n

Gold Key Award in Electronics and National Honor Society; Instrument Society of
\nAmerica: past member: Executive Board – Erie Civic Ballet and Vice President of Erie
